ACADEMICS

Bahamas Academy has a very diverse selection of courses for our Early Learning Center, Elementary and Secondary Divisions. These courses are fully geared towards developing students mentally, physically and spiritually. Among the selection are basic courses that will fully prepare students for the Bahamas Grade Level Assessment Test (GLAT) in Grades 3 and 6, the Bahamas Junior Certificate (BJC) in Grade 9 and the Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) in Grade 12. For more information on the dates for these exams please visit our Calendar of Events page.

In addition, Bahamas Academy offers specialty courses such as Foreign Languages, Computer Science, Physical Education and Creative Arts - some courses offered from as early as the Early Learning Center. For more information on Bahamas Academy courses please visit our Curriculum page.
At the Secondary Division we have issued a Challenge to our Students. In accepting the Challenge, students will have to obtain 5 or more BGCSE passes with C and above, inclusive of English Language and Mathematics in the 11th Grade. This enables our students to start College/University Courses and still graduate with their Senior Class. We have had students pursue this option with amazing results. Why not give your child the opportunity to excel in this area? For information on enrollment visit our Admissions page.

Recently, Bahamas Academy has acquired a school management software called RenWeb. This software allows parents to retrieve maximum result on their child's education by monitoring student assignments, grades, disciplines and financial information from the comfort of any personal computer or internet accessing device.
