STARS WIN PLAYOFFS

The Bahamas Academy Basketball Stars (Senior Boys), won the playoffs last night (February 5, 2004) to St John’s High School with a score 46 to 44. Hundreds of Bahamas Academy fans packed the Kendall Isaacs Gym to cheer their team. As usual the BA Stars fans out numbered all other fans. The Stars lead the game from the beginning to end. However that last few minutes was an hair rising experience as the enthusiastic fans watched the John’s teams edging their way to the top as they bounded in one point at a time. But it was not for long. The skillful team kept their cool and ended the game as jubilant winner. The Stars will go on to the Finals on Monday when they play the best of three games.

We are also proud of our Senior Girls and Junior Boys who play in the playoffs last night but lost. Not many schools are able to have three teams reach the playoffs at one time. Bahamas Academy is really doing well and we praise Coach Symonette for his hard work and dedication.
