External Exam Awards On January 21, 2010 the Ministry of Education and Assessment Division held its Annual National Awards Ceremony. This ceremony rewarded students who excelled in the Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education - B.G.C.S.E. and Bahamas Junior Certificate - B.J.C 2009 Examinations.  We are pleased to announce that Bahamas Academy was among the honorees.  Congratulations to the following students for receiving the highest mark in the entire Bahamas: Vanessa Vallerey - Biology (B.G.C.S.E.);  Gabriel Moxey - Music (B.G.C.S.E.);  Mahala Moxey - Craft (B.J.C.).    Also, special congratulations go out to Gabriel Moxey (B.G.C.S.E.) and to Kemoy Fong, Ashli Gordon, Mahala Moxey, and Earl Roberts (B.J.C.) who were awarded for receiving five (5) As in one sitting.

Bible Class on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:00 a.m.    The Bible Class is an opportunity for students to learn more about the Bible and Jesus in a informal way.

 

The New Bahamas Academy Block Drive.  Get your Block Drive Card at the Bahamas Academy Special Services Office.  Donate a block at $2 a piece.  Help us build our school

The Bahamas Junior Certificate (BJC) practical exam begins on Friday, April 27.  The written begins on Monday, June 4.

The Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) practical begins on Thursday, April 26.  The written exams begin on Monday, May 21.

School Holidays:  Whit Monday, May 28.  School re-opens on the May 29th.   Labor Day Holiday will be on Friday, June 1.

Parents Teachers Association final meeting for the school year will be on Tuesday, May 8, 2007

Secondary Division Honors Convocation:   Sunday, May 20, 2007, at the Church of God Auditorium, Joe Farrington Road, Nassau.  The speaker will be Dr. Keith Major, Vice President at Colonial Imperial.

Elementary Division Honors Convocation will be on Wednesday, May 3, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. at the Church of God Auditorium, Joe Farrington Road, Nassau.  The speaker will be Dr. Michael Toote, pastor of the Breath of Life Adventist Church, Nassau.

Secondary Division Graduation will be on Monday, June 18, 2007, at the Nassau Marriott Hotel.   The speaker will be  . . . . The Baccalaureate Service will be on Sabbath, June 16, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Grant's Town Church.  Pastor Eric D Clarke will be the speaker.

Elementary Division Graduation will be on Thursday, June 14, 2007, Wyndham Nassau Resort, at 7:00 p.m. The speaker will be Pastor Hugh Road, for principal of the Academy

Secondary Division Last Day for School will be on Friday, June 15, 2007

Report Card Day will be on Thursday, June 18, 2007, 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
